Who is Angus Fire?

Angus Fire have a long history in Bentham, and a string of owners since George Angus & Company Ltd arrived in the town in 1904 when the firm purchased the hose and belting part of the Bentham Spinning & Weaving Co.

With offices in Thame they were a large employer both in the North and South east of the country.
In 2013, there was a management buyout backed by LDC the equity arm of Lloyds TSB Group. At the forefront of this buyout was EPI-V who stepped in as a backer and has taken an equity stake in Angus Fire as part of the £62 million transaction.

EPI-V was a private equity firm providing growth capital to companies in the energy sector. "Headquartered in the UK, Epi-V seeked out commercial opportunities within upstream oil and gas services to deliver growth and exceptional returns for their investments and shareholders". (linkedin). Who owns Angus Fire?

LDC is the current "person with significant control".
What is a person with significant control?

A ‘person with significant control’ (PSC) is any person who owns or controls a company.
Also known as ‘beneficial owners’, you must identify and record your PSC(s) and let Companies House know who they are.
This might be you or it could be someone associated with your company, where a company can have one or more PSCs. There are two ways in which a person can be identified as a company’s PSC: if they meet one or more of the ‘nature of control’ conditions or they have ‘significant influence or control’ over the company in another way. In most cases, it is easy to identify a company’s PSCs, but in others it will not always be immediately evident.

In the Case of Angus International Safety Group (Limited) and its subsiduurary companies,  LDC li LP and LDC Managers have a 50/50 controlling interest.
