For evil to triumph, all it needs is for good people to stay silent.
When ever you do something like this and stand up to corporations who purposely pollute then lie about the situation, and then all the people you've stood up to come crawling out of the wood work.
Bentham is no different from any other town, it's just in the smaller ones the rotten wood is easier to see.
So as Chair of Cleaner Bentham I'm going to put right the rumours that these tricky little web spiders are saying whilst they are spinning their webs of deception. I mean am I really that stupid to be crooked or a liar and stand in front of national media who will tear me to shreds nationally should I be caught out in a lie, or am I just someone trying to do the right thing?
In a situation where 153,000+ people (not to mention the 2-3 generations before that) can be affected today, by one firms willful acts of neglegence and pollution, it makes a person complicite with pure evil to do that and say nothing or to oppose it without reading the facts.
Personally I think some people who worked there have known and not said anything for decades, which means they have known and lived by you, smiled and said hello every day whilst allowing us all to be poisoned..
Rumour 1.
Angus Didn't want to go to the meeting as I was on the panel.
Firstly I was never on the panel, I was never set to be on the panel, nor would I be as my position is polar opposite to what we see now from the incompetance from all the Government departments involve and I wouldn't comply to the status quo of denial.
CB asked Bentham Town Council 4 times for a meeting, with the last one being accepted. It's more likey that Angus's reasons (as misguided as they were) were infact as they said that "they didn't want to distract from the intorductions" - for all the good that did. To be fair Angus were (and are) in a lose lose situation, the town just feel Angus choose the worst of the two options (in a big way).
Or shall we believe that l'il ol me is really a thorn in their side, Angus with all their money and fancy lawyers, and me armed with.....
... a computer, no money, (albeit) the best support I could ask for (Environmental Consultant and an ex employee who was a chemical engineer with the firm) and probably the best Law firm in the country (take a look at their site and see who their clients are). It's not really that much when you consider that Lloyds Bank owns the Equity firm that owns the whole of the Angus International Safety group? I doubt they are and if they are it's probably that we have them bang to rights and the truth in the report not that it's me.
Rumour 2.
Did I work at Angus Fire?
Yes I did,I worked for three years in Tech Support, so I was all over the site helping people out... ...including Foam Plant! If there was a computer or piece of electronic tech in the area it was my job to fix it.
I took voluntary redundancy (and they may have jumped at the chance to ship me out) but I choose to go. Lets disect why.
1. I was asked to bypass import tax by the General Manager Anthony Dimmer.
He was then asked to leave when the CEO (Paul Williams) found out.
2. I was asked to install software without the correct licences. By the same General Manager.
3. I was not allowed to fix the emissions PC after I had noticed it wasn't working. The Emissions PC monitors the chemicals that Angus's puts into the air. This means the pollution wasn't being measured, so this smoke and the pollutants could have been above the "safety" threshold. I am told that the then Health and Safety officer completed the paperwork manually.
4. My opinion was that the firm didn't follow disability rules. Yes I took them to court.
unfortunately it was ruled that most were out of time, or not well founded, i.e. not found for or against any of the claims, but they were found to have breached my contract (and probably not just mine).
I am not sure why this is an issue as it was taken before a judge, the judge decided the outcome, end of situation.
5. Angus Fire Breached my contract, and possibly contracts of people who took redundancy during 2015 and 2017, they also tried lying to the Tribunal by producing an unfinished 'Employee Handbook' which hadn't even been quality assessed! The Tribunal found in my favour.

Rumour 3.
Do I hold a grudge?
No, Why would I? I don't give them my head space. I work for myself, life is good, I help people who are vulnerable and struggling to cope with life, and I've helped loads of people, not just here in Bentham but across the country. What I do is very fulfilling and satisfying there are just some jealous spiteful people around who want to do nothing but drag people down who are making something of themselves or doing good for the community (and it's not just me they are doing it to).
The people that are spreading rumours are the ones that cannot see the big picture with what we are doing, or desperate for attention.
Angus has given the town a bad name, it's ruined the towns reputation. But, this is bigger than Bentam and can be the start of something new, a new, better reputation for Bentham where we change the lives of the people across the country and protect our children. These short sighted people can't see that, they seem intent on keeping the bad reputation the town now has due to the current owners at the firm.
They'd rather drag people down and not help others by protecting peoples health from someone who isn't from Bentham, and is intent on hiding the truth from the Authorities.
Its time for change, I and others believe that this will change the way the UK looks at Chemicals and Pollution as a whole, and whether a small minority of people 'want it or not', change is coming we need to decide whether it's good or bad change! This is something Mr Williams doesn't want, as it hopefully it means Directors like him will be criminally liable.
